The Library organizes educational seminars for all members of the academic community with the aim of informing them about the available services and the proper and optimal use of information resources.
Specifically, at the beginning of each academic year, seminars are held for first-year undergraduate students as well as postgraduate students. The seminars are organized by Department in cooperation with faculty members. The exact seminar dates are announced within the Library and School premises, on the Library website and the School department websites, as well as on social media.
The seminars include:
Guided tours of the Library facilities
Presentation of the Library collections and services
Library operating and lending regulations
Types of information resources
Description of electronic resources
Access methods and search techniquesa) in the Library electronic catalogue
b) in databases
c) in electronic magazines
Information regarding plagiarism
Presentation of bibliography management tools
Scheduled seminars may also take place throughout the academic year for interested groups or individual users. Anyone interested may register by completing the relevant application form.
